Each year, Big Creek Missions will select a number of staff to assist with ministries in Leslie County. These positions will be, for the most part, volunteer, and most staff are expected to raise their own support. Depending on funding for the summer months, staff may or may not receive an honorarium for their efforts. We never want to hire a staff member for a paycheck or an experience: We desire to hire those who truly feel called to serve at Big Creek.
Applicants should be a proven leader, or show exceptional potential. Make sure to note any unique gifts / talents you may have on the application.
Applicants may be assigned to any number of positions, including (but not limited to) group leaders, musicians, kitchen crew, custodial crew, and numbers of other opportunities for service. Those wanting to play games, be the center of attention, and have a cozy job need not apply. You are applying for a staff position which means you will have multiple jobs, and some are dirty. You are signing up for a position that will require some uncomfortable living conditions, extremely long work hours, and constant noise.
